ABOUT
Max Holzner
Max Holzner is a musician, arts leader, and educator whose work sits at the intersection of human creativity, cultural institutions, and emerging technologies. Trained as a violinist, he has performed widely in Australia and the UK, collaborating with leading performers, chamber ensembles, and orchestras, and appearing at major festivals. Alongside his life as a musician, Max has spent the past two decades working in and around the systems that shape creative practice, education, governance, and technology. His current work explores how emerging technologies, including AI, can support creativity and access, without displacing the deeply human processes at the heart of artistic expression. He is the CEO (former Chair) of Sydney Eisteddfod, Chair of the Music Teachers’ Association of NSW, and the Western Sydney Philharmonic, and is Co-Founder and CEO of Gradus Software, an education-technology company developing curriculum-aligned digital tools for music learning.
