2025 PROGRAM
Truth, Voice and Who Is Believed
DATE:
Friday 20 March, 2026
LOCATION:
Sky Theatre
COST:
$25,00
Whose stories are heard, and whose are doubted? In this conversation, Sue Woolfe and Debra Adelaide reflect on truth-telling, credibility, and the fragile mechanics of belief in literature, in institutions, and in private lives. Drawing on fiction and lived experience, they consider how voice is shaped by power, gender, memory, and circumstance,
and how easily truth can be questioned, deferred, or dismissed. At its heart, this session asks what it means to speak honestly when people are not always prepared to listen.
