Lucy Nelson
Lucy Nelson is an award-winning writer of fiction and part-time arts worker living on unceded Dharawal Country. Her work has been published in Meanjin, The Monthly, Kill Your Darlings, The Sydney Morning Herald and elsewhere. She has received the Newcastle Short Story Award and the Writing NSW Varuna Fellowship. She studied Professional Writing and Editing at RMIT in Melbourne and her first book, Wait Here, was published in June 2025.
