Julia Baird
Julia Baird is a globally renowned author and award-winning journalist with a PhD in History. She writes columns for The New York Times and The Sydney Morning Herald, and has previously worked with Newsweek and the Philadelphia Inquirer in the USA. Julia’s book about the treatment of female politicians, Media Tarts, was published in 2004. Her bestselling biography Victoria: The Queen: An Intimate Biography of the Woman Who Ruled an Empire (2016) was published in several countries to critical acclaim. Her memoir Phosphorescence became an instant bestseller when it was published in 2020. Her most recent book is Bright Shining – how grace changes everything (2023). Julia is also a contributor to Age of Doubt by Gavin Fang and Tracey Kirkland.
